Gill Moseley
Gill has been involved in local politics in Newent since 2016 when she was elected to Newent Town Council. She volunteered to start working on a much-needed Neighbourhood Development Plan to help guide the way in which the small market town of Newent will develop in the next decade and reflect the needs of local people.
In 2019 she was elected to serve on the District Council. Gill is currently Vice Chair of the Development Management (Planning) Committee.
Two years later she was elected to represent the Newent Division on Gloucestershire County Council where she is the spokesperson for the Environment for the Liberal Democrat Group.
Gill is retired from her career in education but still finds time to spend with her grandchildren and family and to work on her allotment.
Gill comments : “It’s a very busy life but being able to help people with local problems and working with great colleagues makes it very worthwhile. I am looking forward to the Liberal Democrats taking control of the Gloucestershire County Council in May and really being able to make a difference to the services that have been so neglected for years.”
