Fantastic win as two Lib Dems are elected to the District Council, to represent Newent & Taynton

Gill Moseley and Vilnis Vesma representing the Liberal Democrats were returned to represent Newent on the District Council, in a delayed election on June the 20th.

Cllr Moseley said: "We've been working with the Newent community for the past 18 months in a bid to improve the facilities in the local area."

"Now we are elected to the FODDC, we intend to work closely with Newent Town & Taynton Parish Councils. Exchanging ideas and information can help develop better resources and projects for all the residents of our ward."

"We have a method of keeping in touch with every household with our regular Focus newsletters."

Cllr Vesma added: "Being returned as a district councillor is an endorsement of our party's policies."

"It also shows that, having a vision for the future of this town as part of the wider district, is beneficial for all concerned."
